Fariba Ouni is a multi-media artist. She explores diverse means for creation of her art pieces including photographs as well as pieces of colorful fabrics or sheets of copper, silver, gold. She has been always interested in working with recycled materials and in one of her most recent projects, she started weaving and knitting with different recycled materials both to meditate and create some decorative pieces such as cream tubes. Fariba completed her BA in Cinema (majoring in Cinematography).
In this workshops, Fariba invites students to explore new ways of art creation and teaches them how to craft diverse colour pallets and forms. Using their imaginations, student are free to pick as many as available materials in the class in order to create their very own piece. Fariba provides her students with materials of diverse shapes and textures.
Fariba's approach to jewellery design is a novel way of creating an art piece while narrating a story. In her workshop series, students learn about diverse jewellery design techniques and materials' chemical reactions. Students create sketches of their pieces and when their designs are finalized, they start working with materials provided

In this workshop series, in addition to mastering principles of design, students enhance their decision making skills and learn to trust their inner feelings during their art work creation.
